My tumor and my blood are now in Germany being analyzed. I hope they’re having fun and eating lots of delicious encased meat!
This morning I got out of bed, stood up, and my right leg went full Frankenstein mode. We hit it pretty hard in PT yesterday, so it was a little too ready for the morning stretch.
I started toppling over like Pisa, but fortunately I was able to shift my weight back and land precariously on the bed. My right leg still wouldn’t bend, though, so I was a bit stuck.
Luckily for me, Megan is covering in Rush oakbrook this week so she has a later start time, which means she was still in bed. I’m sure it’s a little alarming to wake up to your husband going “uhhhhh, help, I guess?” But she hopped to it and is able to help get my leg to bend so I could stand back up instead of falling off the bed like I probably would have had to do if I’d been alone.
Today was the first morning of the school year without any help, as my sister had been in town for the previous 10 days. Laurie was an incredible help and I wish she lived next door to us. The morning went remarkably smoothly, though. The boys are doing a great job being more independent and understanding that the world won’t wait for them to be ready; they have to be ready when the bus arrives.
