Tumor Boi Summer (and Fall and Winter and Spring and Summer again)

Last week I went to New York City for what I thought was going to be another routine MRI and dose of SurVaxM. Unfortunately, that was not the case. In the 9 weeks since my last dose and 7 weeks since my last MRI, a new 17 mm tumor popped up in my corpus callosum.

The plan is to have a laser-guided ablation performed. This will involve a 7mm hole drilled in my skull, a biopsy taken out, and then a 3 mm cable inserted with a laser at the end that will destroy the new tumor. This destruction will cause the blood-brain barrier to open up for about 4 to 6 weeks, during which time I’ll be on an immunotherapy that normally has trouble crossing the BBB, and I’ll be having a clinic in Germany manufacture custom vaccines and immunotherapies for administration in Lithuania in 4 to 6 months. This will involve at least 11 trips to Lithuania over the course of 1 to 2 years, and more if it keeps working. When it keeps working, dammit!

Still hammering out the details of surgery, whether it’ll be in Chicago or NYC. The custom vaccines and the travel are both going to be incredibly expensive, so the GoFundMe launches today.

I really didn’t want it to come to this. I felt certain that this SurVaxM was working, and I still feel great. So I mourn the me who lived for decades on SurVaxM, and I introduce you to the me who will live for decades under the new protocol.
